I’m Serena Laye, a realtor at Pathway Executives Realty Inc.

I’ve been a realtor for around five years now, and can’t think of a happier career choice. I eat, sleep, and breathe real estate as I solely focus on the property market.

I launched my career as a realtor out of my pure love for real estate and the passion for enabling people to attain their goals of homeownership, investment opportunities, and retirement freedom through real estate. Helping people this way made my work feel less like a job and more like an opportunity to do what I love.

I enjoy meeting new people, hearing about their dreams, and helping them find out their likes, dislikes, and must-haves. However, the most exciting and also the most rewarding part of my work is the negotiations. Arranging for the best deals for my buyers or selling my sellers’ houses for top dollar and building life-long friendships with them drives me to work hard every day.

When I describe my profession to people, I consider myself not a salesperson, but a matchmaker, as I introduce clients to new houses until they fall in love with one. Every time my clients reach the subject removal process and either their house is sold, or they purchased one, I feel extremely satisfied knowing they are happily moving to the next stage of their life. Having played some role in their joy makes me feel lucky and truly grateful to do what I do.

Over the course of my career as a realtor, I’ve expanded my expertise in different types of real estate transactions such as fix and flips, estate sales, foreclosures, divorce sales, farms, and investment holding properties. I’ve experienced immense growth in knowledge, in service quality, and in buildings and systems (like gas, furnaces, wells, cisterns, and septics) used. I’ve even polished my negotiation skills and sales tactics while continuing my education of the market to provide first-hand knowledge to my clients.

I’ve also managed to boost my community’s trust in my services, which is one of my proudest accomplishments as a realtor. It has helped me stand out as a professional and brought me numerous trusted referrals through word of mouth. I believe this is the result of my passion and ability to make the home buying and selling process as simple and easy and always putting my clients’ best interests first!

My business philosophy is to deliver extraordinary customer service by going above and beyond my clients’ expectations in every transaction. Simultaneously, being honest, reliable, committed, and diverse allows me to render quality services of the highest standards.

While I derive immense satisfaction assisting my clients in all their real estate needs, I also enjoy being active or staying outdoors with my children, friends, and family. Board games, walking, hiking, biking, fishing, camping, basketball, frisbee, movies, crafts, cards, and exploring beautiful British Columbia are just a few of the things I engage in during my downtime!
